Suicide victim Bhuvnesh's mother Geeta Chauhan, who reached back from Kuwait on Thursday evening, alleged that her son was mentally tortured and beaten up in school, as he had told her during telephonic conversation on August 26.
While talking to Hindustan Times here on Friday, 34-year-old Geeta, who went to Kuwait last year in December, accused that school authorities had been hiding the truth and demanded a fair investigation into the case.
She said Bhuvnesh had revealed her on phone that he was allegedly beaten up in the school for not paying charges of cycle stand and mentally tortured. He also requested her to change his school, she added.
She said: "Some of his classmates told that a scuffle had taken place between Bhuvnesh and other students last week, but school authorities have not been cooperating and showing ignorance on the incident."
Geeta also refuted the claims of school authorities about extravagant behaviour of her son and said that if they had any such complaint, then they should have talked to her or family.
When contacted, school vice-principal Neetu Arora said all the allegations were baseless and loneliness had made the boy take the extreme step.
Meanwhile, station house officer (division no 6) Subash Chander said that police had been investigating the incident seriously and refused to divulge any other information regarding the matter.
