Sangrur: Ex-Congress municipal coucillor dies in road accident
Former Congress municipal councillor (MC) Sanjay Gabba (42) died when a car he was travelling in rammed into a stationary truck near Khurana village in the wee hours of Monday.

Four other occupants of the car were injured in the accident.
Sanjay Gabba is survived by two sons, aged 7 and 12, and wife Seema, who is at present MC from ward number 10 that her husband represented earlier.
According to Sunam SHO Devinder Singh, Gabba and his companions were returning after attending a marriage in Patiala. Gabba, who was driving the car, died on the spot.
The injured have been identified as Satpal, Hari Krishan, Joginder and Mohinder, all residents of Sangrur. Three of the injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Sangrur and are on life support system while the fourth one, Mohinder, has been referred to the DMC, Ludhiana.
The police said there was no trace of alcohol in the blood sample of Gabba, whose body was handed over to his family after the postmortem.
The police registered a case under 304A, 337 and 427 IPC against truck driver, Ravinder, a resident of Dhuri, who has gone absconding.
