Sirhind: Con men dupe seven of Rs 1.2 crore

Seven people in the town have complained to the police that two men duped them of Rs 1.2 crore after promising to help them permanently settle down in foreign countries.

One of the complainants, Sukhwinder Singh, said Amarjot Singh and Pal Singh, both residents of Sirhind, allegedly took the money collectively from him and six others but was never in touch ever since.

The other alleged victims are Parminder Singh, Ashok Kumar, Kamaljit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Veena Sodhi and Amreek Singh. Police said they have registered a case against the accused and further investigations are underway.
