Unidentified men broke into the Shantikunj palace in Sarahan-170 kilometer from here and decamped with 3 kilogram of silver on intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
Additional DGP (law and order) Sanjay Kundu visited Sarahan on Sunday while Shimla Superintendent of Police (SP) DW Negi left for Sarahan on Monday afternoon. The thieves broke in through the main gate and decamped with 3kg silver, including one silver-made table lamp of 1kg, four silver flower pot each weighing 250g and one ready-made silver-made temple of 1kg. The caretaker Prem Raj informed the police about the incident on Sunday morning.
