Don’t miss a gem like Thithi: Anurag Kashyap on Kannada film
Anurag Kashyap loves the Kannada National Award winning film Thithi and says he can watch it any number of times.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is really impressed with the National Award-winning Kannada-language film Thithi. He has already watched the film three times since it released in India on Friday but says he can watch it “any number of times”.
Written and directed by Raam Reddy, Thithi, which stars Thammegowda S, Channegowda and Abhishek HN premiered at the 68th Locarno International Film Festival in August in 2015.
Kashyap took to Twitter on Friday to urge fans to watch the film.
“Every1in Bengaluru, Mysore and other parts of Karnataka, one of the funniest films that I have seen in recent times, Thithi releases today (Friday),” Kashyap tweeted.

“Thithi is that one film that I have seen thrice and I can see it any number of times. Don’t miss this gem,” he added.
Set in a remote village in South India, Thithi is a dramatic comedy about how three generations of sons react to the death of the oldest in their clan, a man named Century Gowda: a locally renowned, highly cantankerous 101-year-old man.
The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada at the 63rd National Film Awards.
