Kaaka Muttai director M Manikandan is all set to work with actor in his yet-untitled project in Tamil.

" really liked the script. He's excited to team up, but he's yet to give us dates as he's busy with multiple projects. If everything goes well, we may start work on this film from December," said Manikandan.

Talking about the film, he said: "It'll be something very quirky and away from regular cinema. Unlike Kaaka Muttai, it'll deal with a lighter subject with good scope for humour. But it won't be a full-length comedy."

He also said that the story will be set against the backdrop of Chennai city.

The project will be produced by GN Anbu Chezhiyan of Gopuram Films.

Meanwhile, Manikandan's second Tamil directorial Kutrame Dhandanai is in its post-production.

The crime-thriller features Vidharth and Pooja Devariya in the lead.

Maestro Illayaraja has been roped in to compose the background score.

"He is currently busy with another project and as soon as he's done with it, he will start working on Kutrame Dhandanai," he said.
