Unlike popular belief, Agnihotri is not replacing Kinshuk Mahajan as Ranveer. A little birdie told the site, "Apoorva will be playing a completely new character. His screen name is Anmol, a rich business magnet. He will be shown to be part of the Rajvansh family, and will be seen as husband of Ragini post leap. An intrigue will be created in the initial episodes, where the viewers will be made to wonder as to what exactly happened to Ranveer aka Kinshuk Mahajan. The back story of this will be revealed after few episodes".

However, the buzz is that Mahanjan had hesitations playing a father and that is why has been eased out.
