Don’t speculate about my wedding date: Vivek Dahiya

Actor couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya surprised their fans by getting engaged in January this year, but the latter has brushed off reports which claim that the wedding will take place on July 9 this year.

According to some reports, Tripathi’s father, Narendra Tripathi confirmed the wedding dates, but Dahiya says it is not true. “The wedding will most definitely happen in July, but I don’t know where the dates have come from. My father-in-law never said that we have zeroed in on dates. He just said that we are considering them. Nothing has been finalised yet,” says Dahiya, who met his fiancee through a common friend and eventually became her co-star in a daily soap.

The couple got engaged in Chandigarh, and Dahiya says that the wedding, too, will most likely be there. “It is either going to be in Chandigarh or Bhopal,” he says.

Ever since the news of their engagement came out, the couple’s fans have gone into a frenzy, giving them a popular name — Divek (Divyanka and Tripathi). “I am overwhelmed with the kind of love that we have got as a couple and the way they are curious about everything. I know they constantly wish us happiness. I wish I could just invite everyone to the wedding, but I know this is wishful thinking,” says Dahiya.

“I know there are numerous fan clubs on social media and I am really grateful for the kind of love they have showered on me. I wish I could personally thank each and every one of them but I can’t. I hope they know that I really appreciate them for everything,” adds the actor, who has signed another television show but “will only talk about it once the shooting starts”.
