I am stilll a struggler: The Voice host Karan Tacker
The 29-year-old says that this time off from the genre is required to recuperate.
Television actor Karan Tacker, who has been seen in shows such as Love Ne Mila Di Jodi and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, says that he is enjoying his break from fiction on TV.
The 29-year-old says that this time off from the genre is required to recuperate.
“I had been working non-stop on these shows and I felt that it was crucial for me to take a creative break. That’s why I started with reality shows. I needed a break to get refreshed. Of course, this break was not conscious, I was genuinely not offered roles that excited me,” he says.
Tacker, who’s currently hosting a singing reality show, says that he let go of many offers in order to choose this one. “I am very particular about the shows that I do. I chose this show after saying no to many more. I’ve always wanted to do something new with every show, and that’s exactly what this show gave me. I make sure I get involved with the pre and post-production of all its episodes,” he says.
Although the actor has been a part of the industry for more than five years now, he feels that he has a long way to go. “I am still a struggler and I feel with every new show, struggles increase. Every project needs to add value to your other work. I also make it a point to reinvent myself as I go along,” he says.
