Bollywood director Farah Khan on Cairo film fest jury
Indian director-actor-choreographer, Farah Khan, will be part of the jury at the 37th Cairo International Film Festival.
Indian director-actor-choreographer, Farah Khan, will be part of the jury at the 37th Cairo International Film Festival.
She has choreographed dance numbers for more than a hundred songs in over 80 Hindi movies, acted in a dozen films and directed four, including Om Shanti Om with Shah Rukh Khan and Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar. At Cairo, she will present Om Shanti Om.
Danish director Bille August will be president of the jury. He has won the Palm d’Or at Cannes twice -- Pelle the Conqueror in 1988 and The Best Intentions in 1992. Pelle the Conqueror also clinched the Best Foreign Language Oscar in 1989.

Some of the other members of the jury are Georgian director George Ovashvili (Corn Island), British producer Paul Webster (his Pan will open worldwide on October 9), Egyptian actor Dalia El-Beheri and Moroccan auteur Leila Marrakchi.
The festival will run from November 11 to 20, and several Indian movies are likely to be screened.
