Rebels were firing “hundreds” of missiles into west Aleppo as part of an operation to break a government siege of districts they control in the east.
At least 15 civilians were killed and more than 100 wounded by rebel rocket fire on government-held western neighbourhoods of Syria’s Aleppo on Friday, a monitor said.

The Observatory, a British-based monitoring group, said hundreds of shells and rockets had fallen on various western neighbourhoods of the city.
