11 die fighting forest fire in China

Eleven people have died while trying to extinguish the forest fire in two different provinces in China, local authorities said.

Four villagers and a worker from forestry department died in the southern province of Fujian on Monday, authorities said.

The fire was put out two hours later, official Xinhua news agency said quoting the authorities.

In another incident, six villagers died fighting a forest fire in central Hunan province on Sunday, it said.
