A bus plunged down a cliff near the southern Bolivian city of Potosi on Tuesday killing at least 47 people, including 12 children, and injuring 10 others, according to media reports.

Medical authorities at a Potosi hospital released the names of 41 people killed, saying that six bodies remained to be identified, and that one of the injured was in critical condition.

The bus was covering a local route from Potosi, 570 kilometers (355 miles) south of La Paz, when it lost control and fell down a steep 200-meter (650-foot) cliff, police told Bolivision television.
