The extremists in Pakistan are using computer-savvy thieves to bug and transmit credit card details to Pakistan to raise funds, reports Vijay Dutt.

The extremists in Pakistan are using computer-savvy thieves to bug and transmit credit card details to Pakistan to raise funds. Fraudsters have targeted over 40 stores including of Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's, scientists said.

A report in The Sunday Times said that this technology is being used by these fraudsters across Europe.

The devices are reported to have been made in China. They read and store selected customers’ Mastercard and personal identification numbers as the cards are inserted into readers at supermarket checkout tills.

The bugs then transmit the information by wireless technology to Lahore, according to a senior US counter-intelligence official.
