Israeli military kills Palestinian terrorist

The Israeli military killed a Palestinian terrorist from the Islamic Jihad in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, media reported.

An Israeli military spokesman confirmed that the army was operating in the area late on Sunday but could not give further details.

Earlier, the Islamic Jihad posted a statement on a website affiliated to the organisation claiming responsibility for firing rockets from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel. No one was hurt in the attacks, but a building was damaged.
