Pak says keen to discuss terror-related issues with India
Pakistan today said it is keen to discuss terrorism-related issues in the first of a series of secretary-level meetings with India as part of the resumption of dialogue between the two countries.
Pakistan on Thursday said it is keen to discuss terrorism-related issues in the first of a series of secretary-level meetings with India as part of the resumption of dialogue between the two countries.
"Pakistan has suffered immensely on account of terrorism. We are keen to discuss terrorism and its impact on our societies," Foreign Office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua said during a weekly news briefing.
Following an agreement reached by the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan during a meeting in Bhutan earlier this year, the Home and Interior Secretaries of the two sides will meet in New Delhi during March 28-29 to kick-start the dialogue process.
Matters related to counter-terrorism, narcotics control and humanitarian issues will be discussed by the Home and Interior Secretaries, Januja said.
India had suspended the dialogue process in the wake of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, which were carried out by Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Taiba terror group.
