Prince George, third in line to the UK throne, celebrated his second birthday on Wednesday, reclaiming the spotlight he's had to share recently with newborn sister, Charlotte.
George, his younger sister Charlotte and their parents Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are to spend the day together at their country home Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
Last year the Prince had a family party at Kensington Palace, with the Queen as guest of honour and the Band of the Irish Guards playing Happy Birthday.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, now on a tour of Cornwall and the West Country did not attend the party at. The Duchess, whose family run an online party-ware business, has made the arrangements herself.

The Duke and Duchess's son is a typical toddler with a boisterous nature, inquisitive mind and limitless energy. He is growing up into a confident little boy who has taken his moments in the limelight in his stride, British media reported.
Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, third in line to the throne and a future king after his grandfather Prince Charles and then William, was born on July 22 2013.
He made his public debut in front of the world's media one day later, wrapped in a white merino wool shawl, cradled in his proud parents' arms.
A great-grandchild to the Queen, he will be the 43rd monarch since William the Conqueror obtained the crown of England.
He will also eventually become head of the armed forces and the Church of England, and possibly head of the Commonwealth, if the role is maintained in the future.
