Authorities declare a state of emergency in Armenia following clashes between riot police and protesters.
Authorities declared a state of emergency in Armenia on Saturday following clashes between riot police and protesters angry at the outcome of a presidential election, officials said.
The state of emergency will be in effect from Saturday until March 20 under a decree signed by President Robert Kocharian, the presidential administration said.
