'UN chief arrives in China for quake tour'

Ban Ki-moon arrives in Chengdu, the capital of worst-hit Sichuan province, for a tour of the devastation of last week's earthquake.
UN chief Ban Ki-moon arrived on Saturday in China for a tour of the devastation of last week's earthquake, the official Xinhua news agency said.
Ban arrived in Chengdu, the capital of worst-hit Sichuan province, a day after a visit to Myanmar where he persuaded the military rulers to accept international aid for the nation's cyclone survivors.

A Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman earlier said Ban would head to Yingxiu, the epicentre of the May 12 earthquake, that left more than 80,000 people dead or missing.
