According to health and skincare experts, Vitamin E's antioxidant properties may aid in keeping your skin healthy and youthful in appearance and since it is very important for healthy skin, one can include plenty of all seasonal fruits and vegetables in their diet.

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr Khushboo Chadha, Ayurvedic consultant at AIMIL Ayouthveda, shared, “Vitamin E, with its incredible antioxidant and photo-protection properties, effectively protects the skin from various deleterious effects, including solar radiation, stress and environmental pollutants. In addition, expert supports the harmful impact of reactive species in altering the biosynthesis of collagen in the skin, encouraging the regular topical application of Vitamin E to strengthen skin barrier function naturally and boost collagen as & an essential skincare practice recommended for all skin types.”

Echoing that Vitamin E is a fat-soluble, essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties, Shikha Dwivedi, Msc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, in-house nutritionist at OZiva, revealed, “Vitamin E helps support skin health and provides multiple other benefits like supporting the immune system and cell function amongst others. Its antioxidant properties help effectively combat the effects of free radicals produced in the body, and thus helps keep skin healthy. Vitamin E is essential for maintaining skin's moisture and softness. Vitamin E levels may also decrease with age. Hence, it is important to supplement your body with the right sources of Vitamin E.”

For a holistic skin health, she recommended ways to nourish your skin inside-out with Vitamin E:

1. One must include vitamin E rich foods like Broccoli, Sunflower Seeds and Nuts in their diet. An effective way of adding Vitamin E to your daily diet is consuming plant-based Vitamin E capsules that provide better absorption than synthetic counterparts.

2. Also, applying Vitamin E is important for maintaining skin's moisture and radiance. There are various Vitamin E products available for topical application, but you should always pick natural or plant-based Vitamin E products without harmful chemicals.
